The Daily Message

The Daily Message is a read-through-the-Bible plan in book form, and using The Message, a modern paraphrase of the King James Bible.

Very Easy to use, most daily readings aren't too long to be easily read in one sitting.  There are only 6 per week, so you have a make-up day if you get behind.

Devil's Knot

Devil's Knot: The True Story of the West Memphis Three
This book took a long time to finish, because there are 400-some notes at the back of the book which, for everything to make sense, must be read along with it.  Flipping back and forth constantly got rather tiring, but I made it through.

The book was written in 2002, so I had to do a google search to find out what happened to the boys convicted, and I was glad to find that they were released several years ago.

The Hoarder In You

The Hoarder in You was interesting and engaging...and made me want to declutter. ;)  I think I need to re-read this one and try to absorb some of the hints and tips for not bringing in too much stuff.  :p

Good, GOOD Book!

Blue Like Jazz is one of the Best Books I've read in a long time.  I think everyone - every Christian especially, but non-Christians would appreciate what he says, too, I think - should read it.

He talks a lot about Love...and we can all use a little more love in our lives.

Dewey

Dewey by Vicki Myron.  Small-town library cat from Iowa...BIG story!  I LOVED this book!  Little Dewey was found in the book drop one freezing winter night.  He lived his long and happy life delighting the patrons of the Spencer library, and friends from all over the world who came to Iowa just to meet him!

Yesterday my husband tried to get my attention, and when he finally did I said, "Sorry.  There's a bat in the library!" ;)

Book: The Man Who Walked Through Time

The Man Who Walked ThroughTime, took Forever to finish....mainly because I lost it behind the bed last summer and found it when I was spring cleaning. ;)  Very throughly enjoyed it.  It has black and white photos...maybe the newer book, published in 1989, has updated photos.  I can't tell from Amazon's preview.

Early Graves

Early Graves, quick read....somewhat gross, but considering the subject it could have been grosser.

The First Novel in Ages

From the Dust Returned by Ray Bradbury

The first novel I've read in forever, but it was short, and I wanted to know what happened to Timothy, and Cecy, and Thousand Times Great Grandmere. :)

First Book Finished in 2013!

Unprotected - blogger is being ugly, so I'll come back later and try to post the picture.  It was a good book, though.  I'll be giving it to Emma to read next.

STILL having issues uploading photos, so I'll just link...
